About TileMoments
TileMoments sells 8×8-inch photo tiles and framed wall art printed from customers' own photos. Customers design in a guided studio, preview their layout before ordering, and hang the tiles with a magnetic mounting system that needs no nails or tape.

What we built
Full-stack product engineering: a Next.js storefront and design studio, a NestJS API on PostgreSQL (Prisma) with Redis, Clerk authentication, Stripe payments, and fulfilment through the Printify and MerchOne print APIs — running on AWS Fargate, RDS and S3.
The challenge
Customers arrive with phone photos of varying quality and want to see the finished wall before they pay. Each order then has to reach the right print partner as print-ready files, and customers expect to follow it afterwards.
Architecture
Components
The solution
A guided studio takes customers through choosing photos, layout and frames, with a live preview and photo-resolution checks before checkout. Accounts keep saved layouts and order history, payments run through Stripe, and the API sends print-ready orders to Printify or MerchOne.
Key features
- Guided design studio with live layout preview
- Photo-resolution checks before checkout
- Saved layouts and customer accounts
